ATTACKS ON GERMAN TOWNS. important points bombed! Received Sept, 13, 2 a.m. London Sept. 17. Intense daylong fighting occurred, combats occurring at a considerable distance eastward of our lines. We brought down forty-five hostile machines, of which seven were downed in on- fight by one of our squadrons, and we drove down twenty others uncontrollable. Our anti-air-craft guns shot down one hostile machine. Sixteen British are missing.— Atis. and N.Z. Cable Assoc. and Eeuter.
