GOVERNMENT GRANTS SITE AT MOUNT OOOK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Xight. After an agitation extending over seveeal years in seeking a site on the Mount Cook military reserve for tlie erection of "* technical education classrooms, the Government has agreed to set aside three acres Jot the purpose on the southern side, with provision that the balance of ten acres must remain intact for other public purposes. The dedication of the land is conditional on the Wellington City Council granting £II.OOO towards the cost of the buildings. The question of finding the balance of the money required remains to be discussed between the 'Ministers of Education and Finance- When completed, the new buildings will afford a welcome relief from tho present situation, whereby classes are housed in scattered quarters altogether inadequate for their needs.
