Captain F. V. Brown, of the Head. / quarters Staff, New Zealand Artillery . Division, was killed in action on September 1. Captain Brown was the son of the late Brigadier-General G. H J. Brown, D.5.0., who was killed in action on June 8 last year, in the battle of Messines, in which the Captain Brown and ;fcis toother, Gunner 0. TBrown, were in action also. Cantata Eliot King, CO., DF.C, on the eve" of his approaching marriage. The presentation, whicH took the form of a very handsome case of cutlery and silverl was made.by Mr. Stanley Shaw, who, on behalf of the whole of the staff, wished Captain King and Ms bride-elect ' every happiness in their future life.
