FARM AND DAIRY.

PEDIGREE FRIESIAN CATTLE. ' In presenting catalogue of his fourth annual sale, Mr Lovelock is placing before breeders and dairymen a very choice lot of bulls and heifers. The males , comprise animals, the- ages of which vary from 4-year-old down to calves, so that i those in want of bulls, either for imme\ i diate service or future use will have a \ good opportunity of satisfying their . needs. As on previous occasions, the vendor is offering animals with the* "bluest of blue blood," whilst for con>, stitution and type nothing better can . _ be found. But what is of still greater -' ; importance, they all trace back to sires an- 1 dams having very fine records (many of which are given with the pedigrees \ which follow) attached to their names. With, such sires as King Segis, 'Wild ~ Rose Homestead, King of Dominos and ' Medway Prince, represented strongly in the catalogue, buyers have the opportunity of securing the very best imported American blood, and Mr Lovelock lias had a further batch'of cows and Heifers put through semi-official test, and they have all come through with credit to the breed and to their owner and breeder. A glance at the blue book will show the reader that the highest juvenile records under semi-official test have been gained by individuals bred from the • Friesland Park Herd. i['" ; | Gold Medal Winner, 1914.—Nancy Lee k of Clifi'side, Junior 2-year, 14884.56 jibs § milk, 498.88 lbs fat. f Gold Medal Winner, 191o.—Lady of ■%> Cliffside 2nd, Junior 2-year, 16320.6 lbs $ milk, 535.22 lbs fat. r Gold' Medal Winner, 1916.—Dominos Friesland Belle, Junior 2-year, 14388 lbs milk, D 33.48 lbs fat.
