There was no appearance of defendant in the judgment summons, E. S.Nutting v. Sergeant-Major Crompton, claim £5 6s. Defendant was ordered to pay the amount and costs (5s 6d) before September 16. in default six davs.

In a judgment summons' claim by J. O. Taylor "(Mr. .Billing) for £l4 ' 15s, against L. Henwood (Mr Patterson), defondint statej 4f' ia * ho was * married mm with two children. During the past five months lie had paid his father £32, and paid probably £SO a year, £75 at lca't, which was paid, in quarterly instalments. Factory cheques were paid to defendant,
