6.M. COURT (From Our Travelling Reporter.) The usual monthly sitting of the S.M. Court was held on Friday afternoon, Mr- A. Crooke, S-M., presiding. There was no appearance of defendant in the judgment summons, E. S.Nutting v. Sergeant-Major Crompton, claim £5 6s. Defendant was ordered to pay the amount and costs (5s 6d) before September 16. in default six davs.
In a judgment summons' claim by J. O. Taylor "(Mr. .Billing) for £l4 ' 15s, against L. Henwood (Mr Patterson), defondint statej 4f' ia * ho was * married mm with two children. Had averaged £9 per month the greater part of the year on his farm. During the past five months lie had paid his father £32, and paid probably £SO a year, £75 at lca't, which was paid, in quarterly instalments. Factory cheques were paid to defendant,
who handed them over to his father. P.ate«. etc., were paid by his father. T''« Manistrate ordered that the amount he paid in instalments of £l. per month, the first to he paid on October 20, with costs (53 6d), in default 14 days.
