SALE OF SURPLUS WOOL.
A PATRIOTIC PROPOSAL AS TO PROFITS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The proposal made by E. Newman, M.P., that the wool growers should devote profits from the sale of surplus wool in England to the fund for dependents of sailors of the Royal Navy and .mercantile marine is meeting with strong support from the growers in all parts of New Zeatand. The following have agreed to act as trustees of the fund: Hons. VV. D. Mac Donald and D. H. Guthrie, Sir Walter Buchanan, Sir James Wilson, Messrs W. D. Hunt, J. C. Grigg, and E. Newman. The growers will shortly be circularised, asking for their co-opera-tion in the scheme.
