PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The New Plymouth branch of the Boyal N.Z. Society for the Health of Women and Children held its monthly meeting on Monday. There were present: Mesdames Ambury (in the chair), King, Nicholson, Hursthouse, Bussell, Chanoy and Allen. Apologies were received from Mesdames Fras-. er, Weston, Sinclair, Jones, Blanchard, Burgess and Miss Wado. Nurse Williams reported for the week: New case 3, 14; babies under care, 32; solely breastfed, 10; partially, 0; artificially, 10; visitfl to homes. 1D8; mothers preparing milk in homes, 8; expectant mothers, 2; letters received, 3; visitors to .uu«e. 34; mothers to rooms, 84; babies to rooms, 70; total, 188. Mrs. Matthews wrote resigning as a member of the committee.—Designation accepted with regret. It was decided that membors of committee nhould take a list of subscribers and remind them that subscriptions were due. The following subscriptions were handed in: Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. B. George, Mrs. Leslie Webster, Mrs. Prank Wilson, Mrs. Condie, Miss Percy-SmiUi, ss; Mrs. Duff, 10s; Mrs. Nicholson, £1; Mrs. Burgess and Mrs. Hursthouse, £1 Is.
