But strange things, occur. A murder is committed on the island. They find they are being watched. When they try to escape they are fired upon and have to fight for life. Then.to their rescue comes a man whom they thought had marooned them and 3 then he too nearly loses his life. The J whole thing is amazingly mistifying and . the solution is as unusual as it is unexpected. The love interest develops convincingly and the .setting of the story is wild and romantic in the extreme, Mrs Vernon Castle performs some hairraising feats and remains fascinating, throughout. To-night is the final screen; ■ ing of this programme which also in-, eludes the first episode of "The Great Secret." SPECIAL CHANGE AT THE EMPIRE TO-MORROW. There will be a special change at the Empire for to-morrow and Thursday • when the star attraction will be the brilliant William Fox comedy drama "Some Boy," with handsome George Walsh in the leading role. On Wednesday "Some Boy" will be supported by "The Great Secret," and on Thursday by the current episode of "The Mystery of the Double Cross," which will show at the theatro on account of the Capelli concert at Everybody's. The Otago Daily Times says: "When it came to Cappelli's final numbers on Saturday night the applause which had been liberal throughout the evening increased in volume until cheers rent tlio air."
