A French eastern communique states: The British west of the Vardar attacked a series of enemy works in the direction of Altchakmale, prisonering a number and maintaining the conquered ground despite Bulgarian counter-attacks, which were repulsed with heavy enemy losses. —Aus. and N.Z.
