REJECTED BY RATEPAYERS. The poll talcen in New Plymouth yes terday on a proposal by the Borough Council to borrow £IO,OOO for street and footpath formation was rejected by the ratepayers by a majority of 14 votes. The poll was an exceedingly small one, only 653 votes being cast out of a roll number of 3303 voters; Following are the details of the voting:For Agnst. Inf'm'l. Ttl.
