At Douglas, on Monday, 2i;th—Yearling heifers £ 3 1 2s 6d to £ 4 (is; vearling steers, £4 6s to £5 lis; store cows, £6 to £7 lis; forward cows, £8 13s; springers up to £ls. On the same day, at Inglewood, for my spring horse fair, there was an entry or 81) odd horses, all a mixed lot, of which a fair number were sold, useful farm horses making fair money. At Stratford and Inplcwood, on Tuesday and Wednesday, owing to the very rough days, the advertised yardinjjs did not come forward, but prices for the stock yarded were in most cases in advance of late sales, considering the quality. At Addington market there were smaller entries of fat cattle and fat sheep, and a sharp advance in prices in each department. Storo sheep were in keener demand, specially wethers and hoggets, no doubt on account of the more favorable shipping news. Ewes in lamb also sold belter. There was a feood demand for dairy cows, and pigs sold well, especially stores, for which Peninsula dairy farmers have been operating.
