OEPAfRTMBXT WILL APPEAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Hon. J. Hanan states that he has been advised that tli£ Education Department has the right to appeal for Second Division teachers of primary schools called up for active service, the position having become so serious, and, in order to place all teachers on tbo same foot* ing and secure uniformity of action, he has approved the recommendation of the Director of Education that appeals be made by the Department in- cases where education boards will not appeal.
