SCHOOL COMPETITIONS.
A'DD SCHOOL COMPETITIONS (w Following are the results of the preliminary tests in the recitation classes, the judges for which were the Rev. W. A. Sinclair and Mr- F. W. G. M'Leod. Recitations.—Xine to 11 years: Audrey Broekenshire and Claudia Larking; 11 to 13, Maibel Crozier and Delma Lye; ever 13, May Darling and Maxwell Gray Humorous Recitation.—Nine to 11, Esma Blaneliard and Seton Richardson; 11 to 13, Bottie Welch and Delma Lye; over 13, Fred Newell and Ruth Day and .Yaxwcll Gray. The preliminary tests in the reading classes will be taken this morning. The programme, for to-night's contest, which takes place in the Good Templar Hall, commencing at 7 o'clock, will include recitations from 9 to 11 years and 11 to 13; readings, 9 to 11 and 11 to 13: vnyil solos, over 13; humorous recitations, over 13; and vocal duets, over 13 To-morrow night there will bo rotations by ocmpetitors over 13: humorous recitations. 9 to 11 and 11 to 13: vocal solos, 9 to 11 and 11 to 13; and duo solos.
