DAIRY COMPANY MEETINGS.
| V MANGATOKX The annual meeting of the Mangatoki Dairy Co. was held yesterday. The report as follows was adopted:— The total quantity of milk received was 25,160,404 lbs, "giving 900,833 lbs of butter-fat, at average test of 3.84 22,!J22,590 lbs of milk were used for cheese-making, at an average test of 3.53 per cent., yielding 880,011 lbs of butter-fat, and making 1018 tons 13 ewt 0 qrs yS lbs of cheese; or 2.5'J lbs of cheese to Ilb butter-fat. 2,243,868 lbs of milk were used for butter-making, at an average test of 3.82 per cent., yielding 85,722 lbs of butter-fat, from which 44 tons 11 ewt 0 qrs 22 lbs of creamery butter were made. jn addition to this 23 tons 15 ewt 2 qrs of whey butter were also manufactured. After writing off £2OOO for depreciation, there remains a sum of £9226 16s lid. The directors recommend the payment of a diivdend at the rate of o per cent, per annum on paid-up capital. This will amount to £045 19s. In addition, estimated Government balances on unshipped cheese and balances on butter already shipped should approximate £4500"; this, together with cheese store earnings, viz., £I2OO, yet to »e received," will total £15,000. This amount, with the Is Od already paid, will bring the price of butter-fat for the past year to Is fljd. Some time will no doubt elapse before the last of the cheese is shipped, consequently there will be certain unavoidable delay in making the final payment.
