OU'.V CfLUB .MEETING. Stratford Gun Club had four representatives engaged at the Ohristchurcii Cluh live-bird meeting, and all managed to set into the prize money. In the £IOO Grand National Handicap, the event, was divided by five men, who all killed 14 birds. A- Nelson and J. Wheeler "rot twelve ibirds. Subcommittees were requested to submit a weekly report to the executive. The Collection Committee, who are organising the tour into sections for donations, reported good progress. Stratford Racing Club made a donation of £. r )0 (.C 25 each to town and country), for which the executive desire to return thanks. Discussion followed over the suggested concert bv Mrs. M'l.areit. and it was resolved to make it a joint affair, the financial results to be equally diviired.
GENERAL. A large number of mothers and others attended the usual monthly "afternoon"' at the Town Hall 011 Tuesday afternoon "iven by the Stratford branch of the Women's National Reserve. The items contributed included violin solo by Miss Hopkins, recitation Mrs Lizard, sonqs bv Misses Slieahan and Jackson and Mr IT- LI. Betts. A lady member of the Allen Poone Company also sang The accompaniments were in the capable hands of Mr C. 1[ l'ox. Mrs. M'Laren, who lias "become something of an institu ion at Toko, delighted all with her budget of SOUL'S, generously responding to recalls, which were also demanded'of the items contributed by Misses Tiretherton, and A. Rcott. whilst Miss L. Scott was very successful in her violin solo. Mr. Rae (\\ amranui) was tlie sole male performer. but kepi his end soin-v very well. The accompaniments were well played by Misses T'.redow and A. 8eo(t, whilst (lie dance mu-ie was in (he capable hands of Mrs. liianchi (piano) and Mr. S. Parker (cornet). Messrs M. Gerni'Oefer and J. Kilpalrick kept tilings bright and brisk as M.'sC'.
