THE EMPIRE. MATINEE TO-DAY AT 3.30. MAE MARSH IN "SUNSHINE ALLEY" There will be a special matinee of the delightful Ooldwyn super-feature, "Sunshine Alley" at the Empire this afternoon. Mac Marsh and "Bobby" Harron are the leading actors in this beautiful screen story of which kindness, gentleness and beauty are the three outstanding features. The simplest way to describe the picture is that "it's a fairy tale in real life," and it's even more quaint and beautiful than "Peter Pan." .Notwithstanding this, however, there is no lack of thrills, tense situations, and moments of deep pathos. Little Mae Marsh is as appealing as ever. Children will be admitted to the matinee for threepence, but every child will get a. pound's worth of delight. "Sunshine Alley" shows again to-night for the last time, and on the same programme there will be the fourth episode of "The Mystery of the Double Cross."
COMING TO-MORROW. A TRTPLE STAR ATTRACTION. The new programme for Friday and Saturday will include three big star attractions. Emily Stevens will feature in a big Broadway success, '■' Daybreak," picturised by the Metro Company, Charlie Chaplin will star in his fast and famous Mutual comedy, "Easy Street," and Helen Holmes will appear in the third episode of the exciting serial "A Lass of the Lumberlands." There will be the usual matinee Saturday when the chief attractions will be Charlie Chaplin in "Easy Street," and "A Lass of the Lumberlands."
