HUNTING.
The North Taramaki Pack will, meet to-day at Mr. Tawhanga Butler's, Motoniii. Huntsmen who wish to qualify their horses for the hunt events at the Hawera races on September 10 should not miss this opportunity, K s it >s getting very difficult to procure hunting country on account of lambs and calves that are appearing with the spring. Thanks to Mr. Butler, the Hunt Club have again been able to secure this ideal hunting country for another meet, and, with the weather promising to be of tlie best, there'will no d6ubt oe a mrge gathering to witness the sport, which is sure tp be of the best.
Nominations for the races close on .August 29. Entry forms may be had from the secretary of the Hunt, Mr. E. L. Humphries, box 105.
