PIERROTS' £3OOO STUNT. PIERROTS* £3OOO STUNT. PIERROTS' £3OOO STUNT. THE ANNUAL APPEAL FOR THE N.P. PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE AND WOMEN'S PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE. SURPRISE PACKET SCHEME. SURPRISE PACKET SCHEME. SURPRISE PACKET SCHEME. TT is now over a year since an appeal was made on behalf of the local Patriotic Funds, which are almost depleted, and the Pierrots have undertaken to ensure that Hie good work carried on by these organisations on behalf of the Boys shall not be permitted to languish. The money is used entirely for Comforts for Soldiers at the Front on Transports, arid in the Camps, to meet the pressing needs of subsidiary organisations, and for the temporary relief of urgent cases of distress. THE SURPRISE PACKET SCHEME has not been previously worked on a large scale in New Plymouth. It is proposed to issue 60,000 tickets, every ticket ensuring a prize of some kind. Many very valuable prizes are already promised, and the public is appealed to to donate further articles to be used for prizes. An official house-to-house canvass is about to be made by members of the Pierrots for spare articles of any value, and receipts will be given for every donation. NOTHING IS TOO SMALL, NOTHING IS TOO VALUABLE to be turned into money for the SOLDIERS' COMPORT. For the New Plymouth Pierrots— JAS. McLEOD, Chairman. C. DE C. MORGAN, Secretary. H. BROOKMAN, President.
