WANGANUI, G; TARANAKI, 2. The Taranaki team went down rather badly in the contest decided at Wangaliui on Saturday. Combination won the game for the home team, although at times t'he Taranaki men attacked strongly. Play was interesting throughout, and was witnessed by a fair number of spectators. scoring for Taranaki wore Curtis and Gardiner. A return match between the provinces will be played at Hawera on the 29th inst. AOTEA, 3; v. TECHNICAL COLLEGE, 0. The members of the Stratford Club (Aotea) continued their victorious career on Saturday, when they played the Technical College soon after arrival. The game was well contested, victory going to the Aotea players by 3 goals to nil. Miss V Songster netted two goals and Miss P. Wells one, AOTEA, ; HTGH SCHOOL B, 0. The first game took a lot of sting out of the Aotea team, and their game against the High School B combination saw the visitors with their bacKS to t'iie wall. Playing two. games in the one clay was at the wish of the visitors, so as to obviate two visits to New Plymonth. The High School girls put up a good light against their heavier and more experienced players, but 'had to submit to defeat by one goal to nil, Miss Curtis being the player to score.
