Here are some good recipes by Miss Una Carter, t4ie noted ceolcery expert:— Cakes—2 ozs. butter or Semolina, 1 eg;?, $ teaspoon baking powder, few drops essence, 2 ozs. aultanns and lemon peel chopped. Beat butter ar.d sugar to*cream: add other ingredient*; drop of the mixture en to a cold floured tray. Bake in moderate oven. Time about If) minute*. Chocolate Shnpe-1 quart milk, 4 tableapoona »ug*r 1 tablespoon cocoa,7 neaped tablespoons Thistle Semolina, 1 dessertspoon butter, few drops o&ienca ▼amila. Briny milk to boiling point, add augar and butter. Moisten Thistle Semolina and cocoa \rith cold niiik, and stir gradually into boiling milk. Boil for 8 minutes, Btirrmg well. Add essence. Wet a mould, pour in mixture. When cold, turnout.
