BIG ENEMY OFFENSIVE.

Le Temps lias positive proof that General Foeh's counter-offensive on July 18 completely upset the German plans to attack on a vast scale at Ypres, with strong demonstrations at Nieuport and Dixmude. Another big offensive was arranged late in July between Ypres and La Bassee. The British learned of the programme, and paralysed the enemy preparation* by a violent artillery fire.— Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assco. AMERICANS CAPTURE FRAPELLE. ENEMY RAIDS REPULSED. I London, Aug. 18. An American communique states: In the Vbsges we captured the village of Frapelle.
