The more I scratched it, the worse it became, forming eruptions, from which a watery oozing used to come. My feet were very red and inflamed and I could not bear anything to touch tliem. "J. read < about Cuticura Soap and Cuticura Ointment and I gave them a trial. In avery short time the rash had entirely, disappeared." ' It is perhaps not surprising that the Canlill School was crowded last evening, when a farewell was tendered to Private Harold Marehant, youngest son of one of the most esteemed settlers in this distiict, G. A. Marehant. The function was a dance, and proved thoroughly enjoyable. In making the presentation Mr. J. T. Belcher got off the beaten track in his Bpcecli, and took occasion to refer to the work of the Red Cross Society and the need to do all possible to bnikl up its funds, and he urged the people to do their utmost to assist the Copper Trail competition. In the course of numerous experiments with rheumatic and gouty subjects, scientists noticed that'the' blood of > every patient contained excess uric' acid. Many prescriptions to neutralise and expel this uric acid were tried but without success. One of N.Z.'s .leading chemists worked on the problem for many years. At last he compounded a medicine which cured in many eases—even sufferers for over twenty years. One told another of this wonderful mcdieine—RHEUMO—and thus the sales grew. RHEUMO seldom fails to give relief, as instanced by the testimony of a former Member of the Wellington City Council: "I experienced a very bad attack of Rheumatic "Gout; so bad that I had to leave business. On arrival home, I immediately took a dose of RHEUMO, repeating same every four hours. . The pain soon left, and in the mornihg I came down to business as usual. I can confidently recommend it to sufferers from Rheumatic Gout," f!et a bottle to-night, 2s fid and 4s Od, at chemists and stores. Barraclough's Magic Nervine rapidly relieves Toothache.
