HARBOR BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the New Plynumlli Harboi Board was held yesterday afternoon there being present: Messrs Newton King (chairman). C. E Bellringer, E. Doekrill, J. MeCluggage, J. S. Connett, C. A- Wilkinson, M.P., D. J. 'Hughes, C. E. McGuinness, and E. Maxwell. Mr J. Blair -Mason, consulting engineer, was also present.

In the absence of the EfavSw Master and Works Superintendent reports were submitted as follows:

DREDGING REPORTS. Captain J. McMahon (dredgemaster) reported that the Pari tutu had dredged on 101 days, removing 0500 tons of spoil and 141 boulders. Two days were lost on account of rough weather, U days on i.ccount <tf boiler-cleaning, one day coaling and one dijj' getting buckets back on the lower tumbler. The weather throughout has been boisterous, confining the work chiefly to the inside 10ft cuts, only :H days' dredging being done at the basin cut. The inside cut has been advanced 40 feet, and is now more difV.r.ult to Work.

Captain J. AYatkins, master nf the dredge Thom.i3 King, reported 13 days' dredging with sand pumps, removing 5280 tons of spoil in B0 loads. Stone equal to Sfi ton - had also been lifted. Four days' work were lost on account of bad weatiher and two days on account of repairs.

CAR'PENTEiR'S REPORT. W. Home (carpenter) reported . the diver had been engaged on 10 days lifting boulders and Wasting. Other employees had been engaged in general repair works. Accounts amounting to £7322 l!4s od w|re passed tfor payment. The board then went into committee.
