ITALIAN OFFENSIVE. ■• IN THE ALPS. DECLARED TO BE IMMINENT. Received August 15, 7.55 p.m. Washington, August 14. General Juglielmotti, attache to r.ho Italian Embassy, says that an Italian offensive in the Alps is imminent. The ttalians have opened intense artillerying along a -25-miles' front near the Swiss border.
It is believed a successful thrust here will endanger the enemy's Trentluo positions.—Reuter Service.

London, August 14. Italian official:—ln the Tonalo region, we carried out thrusts and occupied Mount Montillo, Punta, Dlsanmatteo, and a spur south-eastward of Oimazigolon. Our batteries set fire "to supply depots on the left bank of th& Piave.—Au£.-N.Z. Cable Assoc, and Reuter.
