There was only a moderate attendance at Hie meeting last night at Kaimata. convened by mentors of the Tarttrtaki County Coiujeil in order to place before ratepayers of the JVToa Road District tl* advantages of merging into the Coiintv. Morton, chairman and member respectively of tho Council addressed the meeting and after a number of questions had been replied to, a resolution was carried to the effect that the meeting 1 did not approve of the merging proposal.
