CENTRAL SCHOOL.
AtONTELY MEETING OP COMMITTEE.
The monthly meeting of the Central School Committee was hold on Tuesday night, Mr S. G. Smith presiding. The headmaster reported as follows: —The average daily attendance at the Central School for tho past four weeks has 'been 502,6, or 89.4 per cent of tho average roll of «39. The present rollnumber is 633. During the month 10 were admitted and 8 left. The highest attendance was m on July 9, and the lowest 518, on August 8. Sickness seems prevalent. So far as I know there w no provision made for spraying or d£infectmg a desk occupied by an infec- «* Pupil; it seems unfair to ask a senior scholar to undertake the task. On the £t school day of this month I propose to have all desks well cleaned with SP*per, rf f unda ft fl nwttee approve.
