The prospectus of the new War Loan for 40 millions states that the loan will be issued at par and that the interest will bo at the rate of 5 per cent. Mr. Watt announced tliafc the British, Treasury had floaJted the recent Commonwealth loan of 4% million, provided it was the last of the kind the Commonwealth would seek. TWO MINES (DISCOVERED. Sydney, Last Night. x 4 steamer towed into Eden reported that a mine had Ihcen discovered at a north-east port and another sighted'. A search is proceeding. It had probably drifted from the fiiofeo minefield, previously reported.
