The conference of officers promised by the Dereport will be. held in Wellington, conlfence Minister in his memorandum to th? Defend Expenditure Commission's report will be held in Wellington, enmmencing on Tuesday next. The officer* attending will he district commandants and the heads of branches of the Defence Department. The conference will examine thoroughly the various suggestions and recommendations mentioned in the report.
