DISTRICT NEWS.
RAHOTU. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A particularly successful concert was held here by the Methodist Ladies' Guild, of Oaonui and Puiigarehu. Every item was appreciated. It was a great pi';y there was such a poor audience for such a concert deserved a "bumper" house. There have been so many entertainments of one kind and another 'here just lately,■ Mr. Brown visited the district on the sth August and gave an address on pastures and feeding of cattle. Not so many turned up as at other times. It's a pity he cannot make the grass grow just now, as farmers say that their cattle will have to feed on dirt if the grass does not grow. Nearly all crops and stacks are eaten.
