The sun rises to-day at 6.52 a.m. and flets at 5.8 p.m.; to-morrow, rises at -G.51 and sets at 5.9 p.m. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Corinna, from south, to-night. Rarawa, from Onehunga, Tuesday, Itaiawa, from Onehunga, Friday. SAILED. August 9.—Rarawa, ss. (11.30 a.m.), 1072 tons, Bark, for Onehunga. Passengers: Misses Brown, Hurley, Pooley, "Walker, Goldwater, Cave, Sim; Mesdames Burroughs, Rutherford and child, Knock, Atkin, Edmonds; Messrs. Harvey, Corbett, Goynes; 12 steerage. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa sailed for Onehunga at 11.30 a.m. yesterday, taking passengers and about 90 tons of cargo. She will leave the northern port again on Monday afternoon, reaching New Plymouth at 10.30 on Tuesday morning. THE COIUNNA. ' The local office of the Union Steam Ship 1 Company was advised that the Corinna was expected to leave Nelson foe New Plymouth at li o'clock this morning, and should reach here at 7 o'clock to-night. She has 85l> ton* -of cargo for this port. THE HUIA. It is stated that the Huia, which Is at present completing her overhaul at Wellington, is to take up the running between that port and New Plymouth in place of the Baden Powell, which is to go on to the Wellington-Lyttelton service. No advice has been received by the local agents for the Hula as to when she may be expected at New Plymouth. VESSELS SHELTERING. A steamer put in towards the harbor and anchored some distance off the breakwater at noon yesterday. The harbormaster (Captain Waller) communicated with her by signals. She is the Inga (a steamer of 500 or 600 tons, belonging to the Craig line) and desired to be reported to her agents at Wanganui. It is , therefore presumed that she is bound for Wa- ; nganui, but the port from which she sailed could not be ascertained. The oil launch Marakopa, from Onehunga to Waltara, is also still sheltering at the breakwater.
