Tlie annual report of the Stratford Racing Club for last year states that the totalisator and gate receipts, considering it was a one day meeting, compared more than favorably with past years. The race-meeting account disclosed a net profit of £973 18s 7d, compared with £lG9(i lGs (id for the previous year, and in view of the fact that the stakes had been increased by £IOO, and that only half the number of events were 'held, the result must 'be considered gratifying. A profit of £l4l 18s lid was made by the Farm Committee (7vlessrs S. Pitt and A. Stewart).
