FRENCH MISSION TO AUSTRALIA. TRIBUTE TO MR. HUGHES. New York 1 , August 3, The representative of the Australian Press Association interviewed M. Metin, head of tine French Mission to Australia, who said: "I am most anxious to teach Australia to study the conditions with the view of establishing preferred nation arrangements for trade after tic war. lam very interested ia the Australian repatriation plans for her soldiers. I expect many men will seek the land of eune&ine after the war. The Premier, Mr. Hogbes, ia growing increasingly popular in Prance and other parts of the Continent.
