EXPENDITURE ON PROPAGANDA.
London, August 4. The committee on Xa/tiomil Expenditure criticise the withdrawal by the Ministry of Information cf expenditure on propaganda, much of ivhkih was ineffective, and unsuitalble. The report states that publishers wore unnecessarily subsidised by .the (largo purchases of ibooks by the Ministry on; : unfavorable term?, also ihat £l2'(>,Ooo was paid for cables to Rcuter'3 without p, written agreement.
