IN THE AIR.
AEROPLANE ACTIVITY. SUCCESS OF BRITISH SQUADRONS. Received Aug. 4, 5.5 p.m. London, Aug. 3. The Admiralty reports: Our Adriatic formation co-operated with the Italian air forces in the recent raids at Cottaro and Dunizzo and tile land operations at Yalona. We raided two bridges and stations on the Oriental railway, damaging the line, rolling-stock, and buildings. In other raido we sank one and damaged two barques northward of Imbros. We bombed a new aerodrome at Uzunkeufri snd twice raided Nagacna and Galata, on July 20 and 2£, starting fires We successfully bombed the basin and dockyard at Constantinople Further reports state that 15 tons of bosmbs were dropped on Zeebrugge and Bruges docks and Ostend. We also bombed enemy shipping in tho same waters, directly hitting a destroyer with two 301b bombs, causing columns of smoke to arise. Ticlween 2flth and 31st of July we destroyed 15 aeroplanes and shot down 12 uncontrollable. Five British (w?iereof me landed in Holland) have not returned.
