HUNTING.

NORTH TARANAKI HOUNDS. The North TavanalU Hounds met at Mr.. Tawhang.Vs well-known property at WMhl on Thursday afternoon, and one of the best gatherings of the season resulted. Hares were fairly plentiful, and with hounds working splendidly there was some tip-top sport. At the close, Mr. and Mrs. Tawhancft euter- , t&iried the hunt, and Mr. B. H. Chaney, deputy master, later took the opportunity of extending to them the thanks of the members. Whilst the paddocks are all sparred, the hunt has accepted the invitation of Mr. Tawhanga and his neighbors to hunt orer their properties again ne.xl Thursday.
