The latest official statement regarding the report of the Defence Commission is that the document will be handed to newfspapers on Friday afternoon. The report is a document of considerable public interest, in spite of the. delay that lias taken place in its public appearance. The Minister for Defence will make a statement concerning the report and its eiFect upon the administration of the Defence Department. It is understood that he does not intend to adopt all the recommendations of the Commissioners. Iho tone of the report generally is regarded by I the Minister as favorable.
