| ASSISTING GOLD INDUSTRY. Capetown, July 29. Private cable advices state that the Imperial Government will assist the gold-mining industry, enabling low-grade mines to continue production and pay the higher wages necessitated by the increased cost of living. It is believed the Government will pay the gold realisation charges.—Ans. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
