'sunk by a bome. New York, July 30. The Italian steamship Guiseppe Garibaldi has bren sunk bv a dynamite bomb, believed to have been placed in the hold by Germans. The sinking occurred 200 miles off the Brazilian coast. Six of the crew were killed.—Press Association. FIGHT WITH U-BOAT.

Received July 31, 1.20 tt.m. New York, July 30. A Boston collier crew reported a fight between a U-boat and an American patrol vessel five miles off the coast. The U-boat had chased the collier from very near Rio de Janeiro.
