By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A disturbance, centred in the north, has accounted for unsettled conditions since Sunday. Rain has been reported to-day in many parts, and high southerly winds have ruled. Present indications are for south-easterly and southerly winds, strong to gale, and cold, stormy weather generally. Heavy rain is probable, wilh rivers rising In the North Island, and in tiie east coast districts of the South Island, and snow, sleet and hail on the higher levels. The barometer 13 unsteady, but is rising everywhere shortly.
