Linseed tea is a most valuable article of sick diet, and for chronic respiratory troubles, where horses are kept at work, but roar, whistle, or are broken winded, or troubled with a cough. It is the trouble inenrred in making which prevents its universal adoption, and the great amelioration of broken wind. It practically takes all day to prepare linseed tea to get the most out of it. Half a pound of linseed in a gallon of water put on the hob and allowed to gently boil until the evening will make a fine dcmulent fluid for pouring over the corn and chaff or other food prescribed for the sick or the well, since nothing makes animals sleeker and in better blpom than linseed judiciously fed. Slow boiling gets all the nourishment out of it as no other method can,
The United States woolgrowers, after | a conference with the War Industries Board, have agreed to turn over the naentire wool output to the Government, at prices of last July, thus preventing speculation and unreasonable prices.

The weight of pork products was JSOO million pounds. The average amount per head received for beef carcases and byproducts was £l9 7s 6d. Of this sum £l7 Us 7d was paid to the grower, 10s 8d for killing, dressing, etc.," 9s 7d for freight, 10s 3d for selling expenses, and 5s 3d represented profit.
