Christchurch, £ast Night. Arising out oof the recent case.of sly grog-selling, five men were charged today with aiding and abetting the-offence. of selling liquor without a license, each being fined £lO and costs,.in default a month's imprisonment MILITARY APPELLANTS' LEAVE. Christchurch, Last Night. An important pronouncement in regard' to a certain class of military'appellants was made by Mr. H. W. Bishop, chair-. man of the Militry Service Board to-day. He started that he had received a telegram from tho authorities stating that where appellants applied for leave on nccount of the approaching confinement of their wives, the board should grant leave to the first convenient concentration after the event in all cases where the confinement was due in two months.
