THE NEXT SESSION.
DATE NOT FIXED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Wellington, July 22. The date of the next session has not yet been fixed. It is dependent upon the movements of Mr. Massey and Sir Joseph Ward, and as it appears that these Ministers cannot be back here much before the middle of October, it may be assumed that the members of Parliament will not be called together until after that time. It was expected originally that the session would open early in October. Members will wish to finish, before Christmas but it is not certain whether they will be able to do so. A very strong appeal will be made this session for the reconsideration of the veto agianst domestic legislation during the war period, and if members aTe true to their expressed opinions there will be a firm protest against any further prolongation of the life of the present PartliMUOt.
