The final of the Thursday round of the Standish Cup competition was played last week and resulted in A. S. Hassel (9) beating W. P. Nicoll (S) 5 up and 3. The final will be played between A. Bewley (4) and A. S. Hassel (9)' on a day to be arranged. Last Saturday the monthly St, Andrew's cross match was played, but owing to the bad weather there were only eight entries. The match was won _by D. Smythe with a nctt score of 87. The best cards returned were: gross handicap nett D. Smythe -.-".- 107 20 87 B. Mc-Beth .... 107 14 03 V. S. Johns ..-.. 99 4 95 On Thursday next the first round of the Medley Cup competition will bo played. This competition will extend over two Thursdays, medal play, the best nett score of two rounds to' win. On Saturday next a mixed-foursome will be played.
