At the inquest on Charles Bcgg, who s was killed in a motor-cycle collision on ' Wednesday night, the coroner (Mr. 11. J W. Bishop), after hearing the evidence, - said that all the could do was to record 1 a verdict that deceased was killed by collision with another motor-cyelist. Speak- I ing generally, Mr. Bishop remarked that 1 the pace at which motor-cyclists rode ' about the streets of Christchurch was ' a d'sgrace. Ho had himself seen motor- ' cyclists flying around corners at a rate • approaching 40 miles an hour- It was a • state of affairs there was great difficulty in cheeking. Senior-Sergeant Cimimirs interjected that the police did all in their power to bring tli? offenders to justice.
