THE INTERVENTION QUESTION, London, July IG. The Daily Chronicle says that diplomatic correspondent foreshadows an immediate Allied intervention in Siberia. Following the arrival of the Czechoslovaks in Vladivostock, President Wilson modified his earlier views, and no longer waits for a formal invitation from the Soviet before considering that Allied action in Russia is justified. There is every reason to believe an active agreement between Tokio and Washington is approaching. Japan, however, is not so enthusiastic for intervention as before. The Government is still favorable, but there is opposition in commercial circles.
