PERSONAL.
Colonel and Mrs. Colquhoun were in New Plymouth yesterday. Private "Sid" Armstrong, who was one of the last contingent of returned invalided men, awivod by the mail train last night, accompanied by his English bride. Mr. S. L. P. Free, of Christchurch, one of the most recently appointed magistrates, is a member of the well-known legal Ann of Free and Cotterill, of Reeft.oll and Christchurch. Mr. Free, who practised on the coast for many years, took up his residence in Christchurch some years ago. When the appeal boards under the Military Service Act were set up, Mr. Free was appointed military representative on the First Otago Board, and took up his residence temporarily in Dunedin.
