EVERYBODY'S. A BIG BRILLIANT (PROGRAMME. I Tho big attendance at Everybody's last evening were treated to a brilliant I I motion picture entertainment, when Juilette Day starred in "The Rainbow Girl," and Harold Lockwood and May Allison were tho co-stars in another powerful drama "Tho Tragic Circle." Both pictures are samples of perfect motion picture production,, and in each case the story is full of a gripping and fascinating interest. This is Miss Juiletto Day's first appearance in pictures, and she has scored just, as big a triumph. as on the speaking stage. Her appearance in future pictures will be eagerly awaited. To-night the same programme will be repeated for fee last time. COMING TO-MORROW, IRENE CASTLE IN "CONVICT 993." A bewildering mystery all through and a surprising climax make "Convict i 993" one of tho best of recent pictures for excitement and suspense. Irencr Castle in the title role is a sheer delight.. The screening nights will be Thursday and Friday only. THE. EMPIRE. "BABY MINE" MATINEE TO-DAY. The exquisitely delightful Goldwyn comedy, "Baby Mine," will be screened at a, special matinee this afternoon, commencing at 3.30. The time has been fixed, at 3.3 ft to allow all' the kiddies to get; to the theatre after school. However, in the event of the day being wet and the schools closing early the starting time will he 3 o'clock. Children will be admitted at the usual matinee prices. To-night will be the very last occasion on which "Baby Mine" will be «creened, and it is one of those brightly cheerful pictures that no man, woman or child can afford' to. miss. TO-MORROW. VIOLA DANA IN "BLUE JEANS." Tfife fame of Miss Dana's big superfeature has already reached local picture goers, and the announcement that this picture will commence a three night season to-morrow will be sufficient to attract a full house to the Empire. "THE SCARLET TROUBADOURS" Mr Edward Branscombe's popular tompany claims to cater for all classes of people in quest of amusement or' acceptable relaxation. The artiste are; said to be capable of satisfying the desires of the dull person equally with those regarded ]jy tlieir friends as being very keen people. In song, jest, and dance "The Scarlet Troubadours"' And the avenues for the presentation of their amusement wares. In places which have already experienced the merit of tho company's individual and collective abilities, report is decidedly to the advantage of the artists. When' they make their appearance locally; it is. claimed by the management tliat "'The Scarlet Troubadours." will fully uphold the favorable reports which have- been received from other places. To-day the: demand is for amusement of a light or comedy nature, and it is said t'hat the company appearing at the Empire theatre next Monday evening are fully qualified to meet the demand. The season of the company will be limited to three nights. The box plan for the season opens at Collier's on Friday morning.
