EVERYBODY'S. BIG STAR PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT. toilette day and harold LOCKWOOD. Tie new programme to be presented to-night and to-morrow at Everybody's will prove a popular selection with all classes of picture patrons. One of the principal attractions is "The .Rainbow Girl," a bright, sparkling Mutual photoplay in which one of the most charming of all American picture actresses, Juilette Day, makes her bow to local picture patrons. The leading lady ia well known by medium of popular picture magazines and the picture maga--zines and the picture is described as exceptionally attractive and one in which you almost fancy you hear the sweet wedding bella and the patter of rice against the bridegroom's • collar. The second big attraction on this programme is the appearance of Harold Lockwood and May Allison in a gripping dramatic offering, entitled "The Tragio Circle." It is another fine picture and these two old favorites will be certain of a! warm reception. THE EMIJp. ANOTHER WONDERFUL GOLDWYN SUCCESS. "BABY MINE" DELIGHTS CROWDED HOUSE. Few pictures can surpass those turned out by the Goldwyji Company, whether they be of the comio or dramatio order. Further proof of this was furnished at The Empire last night, where the principal attraction is a picture version of the very laughable and Intricate comedy, "Baby Mine." The story is adapted from the French by Margaret Mayo, and teems with spicy *nd awkward situations which require l.delicate handling. Zoie is a matured young lady with! an irrepressible love tor gaiety and enjoyment. She chooses as her husband a man of simple tastes, who loves babies and other home comforts. Babies are particularly repellent to Zoie, whose pleasure-loving nature is responsible for early domestic strife. One day Zoio dines at a restaurant with her husband's friend, and ■stupidly lies to him about the incident. jHe leave 9 home, and Zoie pines for him. jShe consults two friends, and it is arranged to hire a baby, and send Dhe husband a telegram congratulating him on the fact that he is a father. The latter returns, and there follow compilations that keep the house rocking with laughter. As Zoie Madge Kennedy is most convincing. The supporting items are well selected. "Baby Mine" is showing again to-night and to-morrow and nobody, picture patron 1 jr otherwise, can afford to miss this delightful picture, THE SCARLET TROUBAiDOTJRS. The Scarlet Troubadours will be remembered a3 one of the most accomplished body of entertainers who have ever appeared in the Dominion. They were the pioneers in this country of costume comedy work. Since the first visit of the original company of Troubadours, many changes in the personnel have been made, so that to-day the company is presented as a reorganised and up-to-date combination. Their record of lengthy seasons embraces one extending over 25 weeks at Melbourne, and they have just concluded a' most successful period of eight weeks at Sydney. In each of these cities the Troubadours were regarded as a particularly smart coterie of artists, whose efforts to entertain and amuhe met with a large measure of public appreciation. Like other similar companies organised under the Edward Branscomfoe management, the Troubadours are particularly strong on the vocal side, and their repertoire contains many excellent concerted operatic scenas This side of their programme is verj popular indeed.
