SHORTHAND CERTIFICATES, Miss Doris E. Lovcll, assistant commercial instructor, has received nineteen' Elementary Certificates (t'uird class) for lier students who have satisfactory passed an examination in Pitman's shorthand. Nineteen tests were sent in. Miss Lovcll has only been a short time at the work, and her record is a notable one. the names of the students are as follows: Roy Arrol, Mary Death, Mary G. Betts, Edith Hodren, Hazel Nairn, Vera Slinger, Maud McPherson, Dorothy Benton, Agnes Blake, Nina Kilvington, Evelyn Rogers, Olive Jones, Lorna Blade, Muriel Shaw, Doris Shaw, Violet E. Gundeson, Ida 0. Hamilton, Bernard Gould and Roynald Styles. SENIOR COMMERCIAL SECTION, Second-class Certificates-—Robert Ure (returned soldier), Eileen Kilbride, Winifred O'Sullivan, Esma Riley, Delia Maloney, and 'Hilda Chadwick. Third - class Certificates Norma James, Agnes Anderson. Catherine Anderson, Myrtle Johnston. Mr Robert Ure is to be highly commended. He has to hold his pen with thumb and little finger, having lost the other members while on active service.
