NEW PLYMOUTH. Subject to necessary alterations, mails will close at the chief post office. New Plymouth, as Under: For Auckland and North, dally per train At 6.15 a.m. For Auckland and North, per steamer, Tuesday and Friday, at 7 p.m. For Napier and Gisborne, daily at 6.13 a.m. For Wellington and South, dally at 6.15 a.m. For Wanganul and intermediate offices, dally at 6.15 a.m., 10.45 a.m. and 2.45 p.m. For Opunake and Intermediate offices, per motor bus, dally at 6.15 a.m. I WEDNESDAY, JULY 17. For Australian States, South Africa, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements (per s.s. Mocrakl, from Wellington), at 6.15 a.m. Money orders, registered letters and parcels I close one hour before the ordinary mail. ■ The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to bo sent by post. That letter usually superscribed "Via Suez" should now be superscribed "For first direct steamer." Correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship. C. H. BURTON, Chief Postmaster.
